The Opportunity
From spearheading accurate month-end closes to strengthening internal controls, our Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in optimizing our global financial operations. You will ensure our financial foundation is as robust as our brand’s growth. We are looking for a process-driven professional who thrives on detail and enjoys collaborating across departments to build streamlined, scalable operations.
Your Daily Adventures
- Lead the end-to-end month-end process, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
- Manage the preparation and timely filing of all Canadian tax returns
- Support the implementation of accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Partner with leadership to identify and implement efficiencies, with a priority on automating bank reconciliations and payroll GLs.
- Analyze P&L results and compile balance sheet reports to provide strategic insights to senior leadership,
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to resolve accounting issues and support data-driven decisions.
Your Toolkit
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation (or actively pursuing the qualification).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the retail sector or ma fast-paced corporate environment.
- Advanced Excel skills (data modeling, complex formulas, and manipulation) and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles, inventory management, and retail-specific financial practices.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without
- compromising accuracy.
- Bilingualism: Professional fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) to support our global cross-provincial operations.
